Nastasia Vanderperren

Hi, I am Nastasia Vanderperren, 31 years old and I live together with two housemates and their three children on a small farm in Merendree. In 2019 I will graduate as a programmer at University College Ghent, a course I follow through distance learning. I have a background as a historian and archivist and work in the heritage sector at PACKED vzw, Center of Expertise for Digital Heritage.

Because of my job, I have a concern about digital sustainability. I am mainly focused on drawing up guidelines and standards for the archiving of e-mails, websites, software, games, etc. and I am interested in the semantic web, linked open data, the use of open source tools for digital archiving and getting data of (obsolete) carriers such as 3.5" and 5.25" floppies, zip drives and cd-r. I also love old 80s video games

People know me as a hard worker and driven person who carefully carries out her work. I am used to having tight deadlines and I am open to learn new things.
